Do not. Exchange wallets tie your on-chain address to your real identity and their records, which defeats the point of paying in the first place. No. The 12-word recovery phrase is handed to you once, at registration, and the market does not store it and cannot return it. Any login screen that asks for those words is not the real login, full stop. The real flow is username, password, and the PGP step. See /login.html.

Yes, you need a PGP key pair of your own, registered in your account settings. At login the market sends you a challenge encrypted with your public key. You decrypt it locally on your machine and paste the resulting token back in. Nothing secret ever travels in plain text, and the market never sees your private key.
